Tire Gauge Types:
Mechanical: Relies on Air Pressure alone to give reading - Could be Pencil Gauge or Dial Gauge. (Batteries not needed to power Display)
Dial Gauge: Circular Style with needle to give reading. Considered to be more accurate than Pencil Gauges, a little more expensive too.
Pencil Gauge: Standard pencil shape and size. Air pressure pushes out a stick that displays reading. Fits easily in pocket and glove box.
Truck Gauge: A high end, better built product (many variations). Essential for Millions of Truck Drivers on a daily basis.
Digital: "Digital", refers to digital readout. Many types and styles available. (Batteries needed)
Bikes: High Pressure Bicycle tires are inflated to 120 PSI. A special gauge is needed for this considering that most vehicle gauges top out at 60 PSI
Note: Some Digital Gauges are sold as Mechanical Gauges.
